Brief History of our School
Let’s turn the clock to three decades back. Madapalli is a tiny village about three kilometres from Tirupattur Town. Nearby in Madavalam, there was a Government Boys Higher Secondary School and a Government Girls Higher Secondary School but there was no English Medium school. Parents who felt the need of English medium education had to send their children only to tirupattur town.
At this juncture, Mr.L.Nagarajan, Mr.M.L.Gudiyannan, Dr.L.Mani and Dr.R.Paneerselvam who were educated in Madapalli village and started their career in various nationalized banks kindled with the desire to serve the community where they hail from translated their long-cherished dream of serving the community in some way or the other into reality as they know that “Never put off till tomorrow what may be done today” and formed a trust in the name of Shepherds Educational Trust (SET). And to achieve the object of imparting good education, this trust started a school named Shepherds Matriculation School in 1991 in a small house with just 45 students and 5 teachers on roll.
